Ingredients

  • Cooked rice
  • Protein of your choice (e.g., chicken, beef, shrimp, or tofu), diced or sliced
  • Assorted vegetables (e.g., carrots, peas, corn, bell peppers), finely chopped
  • Garlic, minced
  • Ginger, grated
  • Soy sauce
  • Oyster sauce
  • Sesame oil
  • Eggs, beaten
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Vegetable oil (for stir-frying)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

 

Step #01

 

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
    Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet and stir-fry for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the protein of your choice (e.g., chicken, beef, shrimp, or tofu) and cook until it’s cooked through and slightly browned.
  • Push the protein to one side of the skillet and add finely chopped vegetables. Stir-fry them for a few minutes until they are slightly tender.
  • Push everything to the side and pour beaten eggs into the empty space. Scramble the eggs until they are cooked.

 

 

Step #02

 

  • Add the cold cooked rice to the skillet, breaking up any clumps with a spatula. Mix everything together.
  • Season with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Stir-fry for a few more minutes until the flavors are well combined and the rice is heated through.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions.

 

 

 Step #03

 

  • Transfer the Arroz chaufa to serving plates or bowls.
  • Garnish with additional chopped green onions, if desired.- Drizzle the Limo Chili & Red Bell Peppers hot sauce over the Arroz chaufa.
