Chef's tips:

Tip #01

When using hot sauces, start with a small amount and gradually increase the heat according to your tolerance and desired flavor intensity. Premium hot sauces often pack a punch and can vary in heat levels, so it’s best to approach them with caution, especially if you’re not familiar with the specific sauce. Begin by adding a small quantity of the hot sauce to your dish, such as a few drops or a light drizzle. Taste the food and assess the level of heat and flavor it imparts. If you feel it needs more heat, gradually add a bit more, tasting as you go. This way, you can control the spiciness and ensure it complements your dish without overwhelming it.

Tip #02

When using seasonings like a rub or furikake, apply them generously and evenly to enhance the flavor of your dish. When using a rub, such as for grilling or roasting meat, make sure to coat the entire surface of the meat with the rub mixture, gently pressing it into the meat to ensure it adheres well. Allow the meat to sit with the rub for some time before cooking to allow the flavors to penetrate. When using furikake or similar seasonings, such as on rice, vegetables, or fish, sprinkle a generous amount over the food to add a burst of flavor.

Tip #03

When using a marinade, allow enough time for the flavors to develop. Marinating meat or vegetables for an extended period can significantly enhance the taste and tenderness of the dish. Ideally, marinate your food for at least 30 minutes to a few hours, depending on the thickness and type of ingredients you’re using. For tougher cuts of meat, such as beef or pork, you can marinate them overnight to achieve maximum flavor penetration. However, be cautious not to over-marinate delicate foods like seafood or thinly sliced meats, as they can become mushy if left for too long. Finding the right balance and experimenting with different marinating times will help you achieve delicious results.
